The Eiffel Tower will remain closed for the fifth day in a row due to a labor strike.
Workers at the Eiffel Tower denounce the management model of the popular French monument that underestimates the cost of its maintenance and operation.
In particular, the employees blame the company for financial management, but also the municipal authority for the very high financial requirements for the monument's income, which leave no room for carrying out repair and maintenance works.
If the strike lasts until Sunday afternoon, it will be the longest in the monument's recent history. In the fall of 1998, the Eiffel Tower was closed for six and a half days.
