Greek government plan: What happens to teachers if they are not vaccinated
All teachers who refuse to be vaccinated or tested regularly against Covid before entering the classroom will face salary cuts as well as other disciplinary measures. This decision was taken by the Council of Ministers in Greece, but is currently under discussion and there is still no official decision.
According to Kathimerini, the government is drafting a plan to ensure a secure academic year from September for schools and universities
And this will be the responsibility of school administrators and staff, permanent or contract.
Under these provisions, in addition to salary cuts, permanent education staff can also be suspended from duty and unpaid until they are vaccinated, while temporary staff will have their contracts suspended.
Permanent and contracting staff will also face credit loss under the civil service points system, which will affect their promotion or employment prospects.
