19 young children and two adults have died from gunshots at an elementary school in southern Texas.

An 18-year-old gunman opened fire on Robb Elementary School in the town of Uvalde before being killed by police. Investigators say the suspect was armed with a pistol, a semi-automatic AR-15 rifle and high-capacity cartridges.

The teenager allegedly shot his grandmother before committing the massacre.

Local media report that he may have been a high school student in the area. Yes the information is still unclear.

The shooting began at 11:32 a.m. local time on Tuesday, and investigators believe the attacker 'acted alone during this horrific crime'. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said the attacker abandoned a vehicle before entering the school to open fire for no motive, at least so far. One of the adults killed was a teacher, Eva Mireles. She has left behind a daughter.

Robb Elementary has second, third and fourth graders ranging in age from 7 to 10 years old.

Before entering the school premises, the aggressor also killed the policeman at the school door, who was armed.

This is not the first event in a short period in America. The Buffalo massacre also caused several casualties a few weeks ago. Biden said he is concerned about gun control and what many innocent children are facing.
