The last goodbye! What the newspapers write about the queen today
After 10 days of national mourning in Britain, memories and quite a bit of anticipation, newspapers around the world devoted their front pages to Queen Elizabeth II's last trip to Windsor.
The Guardian has on its cover the archmortuary at the moment she was entering St. George, to rest next to her husband Philip.
The Mirror had almost the same image, but with the caption "… until we meet again".
The Times again chose the same moment on the front page, but with a frontal view. The reverse page contains a quote from Hubert Parry's 'From Songs of Farewell'.
Express used the cover to say goodbye to the past and welcome the future.
The Financial Times has captured a view from above of the archmort and writes: People who serve with love are rare. Leaders who serve with love are even rarer.
'A flood of love', this is the headline of "TheTelegraph".
