North Korea launches missiles at Japan
North Korea launched a ballistic missile into eastern waters on Wednesday, South Korean and Japanese officials said.
The remarks come days after North Korean ruler Kim Jong-un pledged to strengthen its nuclear arsenal at the fastest possible pace and threatened to use nuclear weapons against other countries.
Joint South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said the launch was carried out off the east coast of North Korea, but gave no further details.
Japan's Defense Ministry said North Korea launched a possible ballistic missile without giving details.
