North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has arrived in Russia's eastern city of Vladivostok for talks with Vladimir Putin. He traveled through the night in his armored train, reports say.
The Kremlin has confirmed that the meeting between the two leaders will take place to discuss regional and global issues, after the conclusion of the Eastern Economic Forum.
The two countries are expected to finalize an arms deal that could see Pyongyang supply weapons to Russia's war in Ukraine. On the other hand, North Korea can receive humanitarian aid from Russia.
This is Kim's first trip abroad in four years, he last met face-to-face with Putin in 2019.
