Today the elections are held in the north of Kosovo, Lista Serbe does not participate
Early local elections are taking place today in the North of Kosovo.
Voting centers opened at 07:00, while citizens will vote to elect local leaders.
The total number of citizens who can vote, according to the CEC, is 45,095. Citizens in North Mitrovica, Leposavic, Zubin Potok and Zveçan municipalities will go to the voting centers to elect the new mayors.
The current situation is calm, while a small number of citizens are observed, especially in the areas inhabited by Albanians, who came out in the morning to exercise their duty to vote.
These elections are being held after the Serbs, in protest of the Government's decision on license plates, left all the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
The largest party of Serbs, Lista Serbe, will not participate in these elections, as its participation has been conditioned by the creation of the association and the withdrawal of special units of the Kosovo Police.
