One day before the trial against the KLA leaders in The Hague, Kosovo marches for justice: Freedom has a name!
Thousands of citizens filled the square of Pristina today in what was called "March for Justice" in support of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi and their comrades who are in The Hague, a day before their trial.
The organizers of the "Freedom has a name" protest, Eliza Hoxha and Ismail Tasholli, have described the accusations that the KLA leaders are facing as baseless and the delay in the investigations as unjust.
"The truth of the Kosovo Liberation Army's fight for freedom is the truth of Kosovo, which we must all protect," they said.
The chairman of the PDK, Memli Krasniqi, said that the great support of the citizens of Kosovo was being watched live even by the leaders of the KLA who are in The Hague.
"Our liberators, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, Rexhep Selimi and their fellow fighters, are accompanying us directly from The Hague. Today we march proudly for those who once marched towards freedom", he said.
The "Freedom has a name" march started in "Zahir Pajaziti" square and ended in "Skënderbeu" square. The next day, another protest was called in The Hague under the motto "Don't judge my freedom".
