The first plane with 130 refugees from Afghanistan arrives in Kosovo
The first 130 Afghan refugees who escaped from the Taliban regime that has taken power in their country have arrived in Pristina tonight. It is reported that before their arrival at the Adem Jashari International Airport, they were evacuated to Germany at the NATO military base there.
In total, the Republic of Kosovo has pledged to house 2,000 Afghans temporarily until they complete the procedures for obtaining a US visa. They will then head to their final destination, the US.
