I want this key to be the symbol of an open door of Tirana

On the second 100th anniversary of the proclamation as the Capital of Albania, 'Tirana' awarded the Prime Minister of Kosovo the "City Key", as a symbol of an open door for the citizens of Kosovo.

The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj received the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, who chose the Albanian capital for his first official visit.

"I want to welcome Prime Minister Hoti and the delegation from Kosovo. It is a special pleasure to see Kosovo move forward. In these challenging times for Kosovo, I know there is a difficult burden to bear and the hardest burden is to keep the people united, to keep the spirit positive, the head up and the eyes forward. Therefore, I want this key to be the symbol of an open door of Tirana ", said Veliaj.

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, thanked Mayor Veliaj for this honor and expressed appreciation for his work in the good management of the city. "I am really honored on the 100th anniversary of Tirana and as someone who has worked in the local government, I envy you for your passion for work. I wish you all the best and success ", said Hoti.

Veliaj and Hoti also talked about creating facilities for students on both sides of the border. "As we enter the second 100th anniversary of Tirana, the capital, I believe it will be even more open for business, for young people and those who see it as their second home. I am happy that we talked with the Prime Minister about the opportunities for young people and I would very much like the Albanian Student Card to be valid in Kosovo. We are very ready for the cards of Kosovar students to be valid in Tirana and to benefit from these facilities ", underlined Veliaj.

He also praised the agreement reached between the two prime ministers to increase cooperation in the field of economy, especially that for the Port of Durres.
