Stories like on Netflix. The one who disappeared 27 years ago is found in the neighbor's basement
A man who disappeared almost 30 years ago at the age of 17 has been found at his neighbour's house.
Named Omar Bin Omran, he is one of nine children of a family who believed he had been killed in Algeria during a civil war that broke out at the time.
The truth was much closer to home: the missing man was found in his neighbor's house less than 200 meters from the family. A 61-year-old man is now in custody after Omar, now 45, was rescued on May 12.
Footage was shared on social media and broadcast on Algerian television when he was found in a gaping hole in a neighbor's house, covered with straw.
At the time of the kidnapping, his dog smelled him, went near the kidnapper's neighbor's house, but the latter poisoned him. At that time no one managed to make the connection of the story.
The story came to light this month after the kidnapper was betrayed by his brother who spilled the secret as they both had an inheritance problem.
Omar's mother, who died in 2013, never knew her son was alive.
According to reports, the abductor's neighbor had informed Omar about his mother's death while he was being held captive.
What surprises you the most in this story is the fact that Omar never called for help. To this question he replied that the kidnapper had cast a spell on him. This answer proves that the psychological condition is serious.
Something else that remains unclear is the reason for this kidnapping.
