STEM, the second phase of the project for the digital education of young people

The program of the new digital generation in Albania STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), the application of which started last year, after the signing of the memorandum of cooperation between the Vodafone Albania Foundation and the Ministry of Education and Sports, starts the second phase of training of teachers and students aged 12-14, a program which this year will be extended to 60 schools throughout the country.

This project aims to develop digital skills in students, so that they can think of innovative solutions and create a better future for everyone with the help of technology.

The development of digital skills through STEM and through the contribution of this project will undoubtedly increase students' communication skills, creativity, confidence, perseverance and practical solutions to various problems that students may encounter in everyday life.

The first phase of this project was successfully completed in June with the participation of 15 schools. During this phase, 30 teachers were trained. More than 50 projects were presented, of which 4 were selected as the best projects. The projects that deserved the first two prizes were realized by the students of the "Sule Harri" school in Elbasan. As a promise kept, the Vodafone Albania Foundation (Vodafone Albania Foundation) donated 10 laptops to the students of this school, as support for these children to continue their love for technology and continue with the creation of projects that bring well-thought-out technological solutions to improve, facilitate or make life in the community safer.
