The trending "soft launch" you can use to Instagram your privacy-loving partner
Your partner doesn't want to post their photos on Instagram? There is a trend that allows you to share moments as a couple, but without revealing the identity of the partner, which is called "soft launch".
This trend, characterized by discreet photos such as two linked hands or photos from behind, quickly became fashionable, as it allows you to gradually share information about your life as a couple on social networks with friends and family. Many prefer this approach.
But how do you gently start sharing photos without annoying him?
Tara Suwinyattichaiporn, a professor of sexual relations and communication at California State University, Fullerton, said that with the soft launch "it doesn't give anybody the clear picture."
This includes posting discreet photos in which the partner's face is never shown in full, preferring photos from behind or where only the back of the partner's head is visible. Other photos suitable for a soft pubkick start are romantic photos of two hands intertwined, or two drinks nearby, and obviously avoiding partner tagging.
Soft launch doesn't just happen on social media. This also happens when you tell friends and family that you're getting to know someone, but you don't formally introduce them yet.
The soft launch is a trend that is preferred by those who are a reserved person or who respect the fact that their partner is a reserved person, but also because maybe they are not yet ready to openly declare their relationship due to various circumstances such as for example as an adaptation to changes, or even because you don't know the state of your relationship yet, or because you prefer to have an air of "mystery" on social networks.
