Ivanka Solkovska flew from Toronto to the Ukrainian city of Bucha to paint flowers over bullet marks and offer her support to residents.
In footage posted on social media, she appears painting flowers in bullet holes, as a beautiful attempt to ease the burden of war and change its consequences.
In April, images from the outskirts of Bucha, on the outskirts of Kiev, showed corpses with their hands tied behind their backs, lying on the street, according to Sky News.
Satellite images also revealed an improvised mass grave outside a church in the city.
