10.4 million foreign visitors until October, Kumbaro: Albania a much-desired tourist destination

The Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro has made public the figures of foreign visitors, where during the period January-October 2024 Albania was visited by 10.4 million foreign visitors.
"Foreign visitors broke the record for the entire year 2023 by marking the figure of 10.4 million tourists or 16.2% more than the January-October period of last year, although our only goal is not the numbers, but this pattern of it's good that we are creating and that it gives us the medal again as the most desired tourist destination" said Minister Kumbaro through a reaction.
According to the data of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, during the month of October, 761 thousand foreign visitors visited the country, or 9.3% more than in October 2023.
A few days ago, it was the World Tourism Organization that in the Global Barometer ranked Albania first in Europe and second in the world in terms of the growth rate of international visitors. This same barometer classified Albania as the first in terms of the increase in income from the tourism sector compared to the pre-pandemic period.
At the end of October, the well-known travel magazine "Wanderlust" awarded Albania the silver medal as the most desirable place for tourists to visit, through a vote by British readers.
