Neither Barcelona nor the Saudis, Messi chooses the American Inter

Leo Messi is expected to transfer to Inter Miami in the MLS Championship.

The Spanish media announce that Messi has made the decision to go to David Beckham's club.

According to "Marca", Messi withdrew from the option of returning to Barcelona. The club told him that his registration is possible, but it will take time. But Messi did not want to wait.

The Argentine star also had an offer from Al-Hilal. The Saudi club offered a lot of money to the 35-year-old footballer, but from a sporting point of view, the offer was not so interesting for him.

Messi eventually chose Inter Miami, where the pressure on him will not be as strong as in Europe. In Miami, many people speak Spanish, which attracted the athlete even more.

The deal that sees Messi move to Inter Miami is said to include contributions from two of MLS's biggest commercial partners, AppleTV, the current broadcast rights holder, and Adidas, the sponsor of the US championship.

MLS and Apple have reportedly discussed offering Messi a share of the revenue generated by the new broadcasters. Apple is also working on a four-part documentary chronicling Messi's four World Cup appearances. Adidas, meanwhile, are said to be offering the Argentine a profit-sharing deal with the sportswear giant.

There are also rumors that Messi will have the same option in his contract that allows the Argentine to buy shares in an MLS club at a predetermined price.
