The Presheva Valley wants to be part of the EU plan
Two days before the Ohrid meeting, the Albanians of the Presheva Valley are demanding equal rights as for the Serbs, in the Franco-German plan. The political and institutional representatives of the three municipalities have made a joint statement, in which they demand the full realization of the collective rights of Albanians within the framework of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and the European proposal.
They have also requested the inclusion of the issue of the Albanians of the Presevo Valley in the talks between Kosovo and Serbia in the Brussels dialogue.
"We demand from the Government of Serbia the implementation of all its obligations towards the Presevo Valley and the implementation of all the agreements signed with the mediation of the international factor", says the fourth point of the joint statement issued by the Albanian political and institutional representatives.
The declaration, which contains a total of seven points, was signed by the political representatives of the three municipalities of the Preševo Valley, as well as by the deputy of the Assembly of Serbia, Shaip Kamberi.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, are expected to meet in Ohrid, North Macedonia on March 18 to discuss the implementation of the EU's 11-point plan.
