Kosovo adopts new measures against Covid

The Government of Kosovo has approved on Friday, January 21, new measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic, after increasing the number of cases of infection in this country.

The decision states that the epidemiological situation is calm, but the risk remains as the Omicron variant is dominant.

According to the decision of the Government, citizens entering Kosovo must be fully vaccinated and have the boosting dose. Those who do not have the booster dose should have a negative PCR test valid for 48 hours.

The traffic restriction will be applied from 22:00 until 05:00.

Regarding the teaching process, the decision states that all pre-university education institutions should conduct teaching according to the scenarios defined earlier, depending on the situation in the classrooms.

Scenario A deals with the development of learning in school settings. Scenario B, or combined learning involves the partial return of students to schools (student presence in schools, combined with distance learning) and scenario C is distance learning or online.

Regarding higher education institutions, the decision states that teaching can take place with physical presence, provided that groups of over 50 people are accommodated in no more than 50% of the space.

Gastronomy businesses can conduct their activity from 05:00 to 21:00.

Music in these businesses is allowed until 8:30 p.m.
