The renovated pyramid of Tirana has won the grand prize for Southeast Europe.
Through a post on social networks, Mayor Erion Veliaj, emphasizes that thanks to this extraordinary project, the Pyramid has already become the most visited place for young people who want to learn coding and for foreign tourists visiting the capital.
"The renovated architecture of the Pyramid of Tirana wins the Grand Prize for Southeast Europe! Thanks to MVRDV and Iri for this outstanding project. "It has already become the most visited place for the young people of Tumo Tirana coding in the interior and endless tourists abroad", underlines Veliaj.
The pyramid, which was built in 1988 in the center of Tirana to serve as the dictator's museum, after 2 years of work (2021-2023) in its reconstruction, has now opened as the largest regional center for innovation in the country, Space of the Pyramid has been transformed like never before into an ornament for the city, and as one of the most visited places by tourists who will come to Tirana.
