Another road is paved in Tirana that facilitates the movement of citizens and brings order to the neighborhood. The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, who inspected the work in the evening, said that this is an important investment that connects two roads: "Mihal Grameno" with "Bako Dervishaj", which then exits with a passage to Treasury area to join Elbasan Street.
"We have another branch from the Student City, also a road that needed intervention. This branch is being made with capital investment procured by the Municipality of Tirana. The pockets of buildings that comprise this axis are being made by our asphalt company. Citizens must understand us. At the moment we speak, we are working on 60-70 parallel construction sites in Tirana. Even at home, when we change a tile, we hit the kitchen corner by corner. Even in the city, as long as we are working on all these construction sites, we will have to be understanding until we complete these works", said Veliaj.
The mayor added that two new schools will soon be built in Unit 2, bringing the number of 9-year schools and high schools in the area to 7. "I am glad that some other investments are being made in the educational infrastructure for the area. We have agreed with the government to take over the former Arab Hospital in Sauk, neglected since the 90s, without ever becoming a hospital, to turn it into a 9-year school for Sauk. On the other side of the road, at that roundabout, where the Military Police parking lot used to be and today is the large yard of the Order Academy, we will build the gymnasium. So, we will operate as we have done in other neighborhoods, where we will also have a 9-year school with a preschool and a kindergarten and a high school nearby, so that the children don't have to worry about it", emphasized Veliaj.
