Where Tirana and Ankara are divided for the Israel-Palestine War
Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the press conference with Erdogan, told the Turkish President that it is Hamas and the terror practiced by them, the point where Tirana and Ankara are divided in terms of the position on the conflict between Israel and Gaza.
Rama said that Albania is in favor of a cease-fire that must be conditional on the release of hostages and a solution for long-term peace between the two states, adding that the state of Palestine must be created.
"At one point we have a different point of view, because being completely determined together with the Republic of Turkey and with many others, I am talking about this relationship against terrorism, against terror. For us, terror in any form and in any guise is intolerable. We are absolutely and have voted in the Security Council for a ceasefire, which should definitely mean the immediate release of all hostages, but for us Hamas and any other source of terror have no place in the peaceful future. Today, in addition to the terrible conflict in Ukraine, which is mercilessly and completely unfairly hitting a people who have the right to live freely and to choose for themselves where to position themselves, what happens every day in Gaza is a colossal tragedy. We share with President Erdoğan the same assessments regarding the Russian aggression in Ukraine and regarding the undeniable right of the Palestinian people to live freely in their state, but Hamas and any other source of terror has no place in the peaceful future. that should be decided on two sovereign states, Israel and Palestine, which should live safely and no one should question their right to exist", said the prime minister.
