"Muzakët" street in Unit 9 was paved by the Municipality of Tirana, which is also carrying out the works on the white water sewage system. During an inspection, the mayor Erion Veliaj said that, after the completion of the works on the major arteries of Tirana, attention is now being paid to the urbanization of the streets and alleys in the neighborhoods.
"In Unit 9 we have done a lot of work, starting from the new schools "Kristo Frashëri", "Vaçe Zela" and "Qazim Turdiu", the kindergarten, the toy corner: We have brought the neighborhood to light! Our challenge now is in every neighborhood, pockets and alleys like these. After the main axes and secondary roads, we must now systematize the peripheral areas connected to Tirana, such as the Rilindja neighborhood, Fresku, Liqeni i Thaë and especially the pockets of buildings, where people spend most of their time. A child spends more time on this asphalt that we are laying, than on Skënderbej Square. We must work with the same quality everywhere," said Veliaj.
As for the old buildings, he invited the residents to cooperate with the municipality and apply for the Community Fund, to renovate the facades and equip them with the kapot system.
This road segment serves a community of 3,200 inhabitants.
