Louis Vuitton this week unveiled the latest collection of Virgil Abloh, the first African-American creative director of the fashion house.
Abloh died in November after a two-year battle with cancer, causing shock and grief in the fashion world and beyond.
One of his famous sayings "Life is so short you can not wait a day" was included in the Louis Vuitton show.
The show was organized with a bedroom, staircase, springboard and chimney on the central runway of Paris, creating nostalgic images reminiscent of Abloh's childhood and reflecting themes that defined his career at 'Louis Vuitton'.
The runway show began with acrobatic models constantly jumping on a hidden trampoline and climbing an ascending ladder. Meanwhile, big pointed toes in Batman-like hats brought back Abloh's childhood likes, as did the graffiti-style prints.
Loose, often long suits defined most of the outfits. Despite the nostalgia, the designs had a typically aggressive edge over former Kanye West collaborator.
