Moments of fear at Rome's Fiumicino airport after a plane's engine caught fire shortly after taking off from the runway.
The engine failure and fire on the Hainan Airlines plane were caused by the collision with several birds in flight, the media reports.
The plane left Rome for China at around 10.30am on Sunday 10 November.
The plane made several spins at altitude to offload fuel before making an emergency landing on the runway which was cordoned off by firefighters.
