New Zealand Prime Minister tightens measures against Covid and cancels her wedding
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has canceled her wedding after announcing new restrictions on Covid-19.
The whole country has been placed under strict rules, following the outbreak of Omicron infections.
Restrictions include a number of less than 100 people vaccinated at an event. Wearing masks in shops and on public transport.
Along with the masses, Ardern confirmed to reporters that even her wedding to television host Clarke Gayford would not take place.
She said the fact that many people in their own country, had not been able to stay with a loved one, sometimes seriously ill, faded any of her sadness about the cancellation of the wedding.
