According to a study led by Hiroshi Yoshida, by 2531 every Japanese will have the surname 'Sato'.
Initially, users of social networks thought that the news about this study was a joke for April 1st.
But no, it's true. And all this can happen if men continue to force women to take their last name.
Sato and Suzuki
The study was commissioned by the 'Think Name Project' and other organizations that want to promote the possibility for couples to be able to choose their own surname after marriage.
'Sato' is currently the most common surname in Japan.
