Lavrov's visit to Serbia is canceled
It was planned that on June 6 and 7, today and tomorrow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov would stay in Serbia. A three-year gas supply agreement would be discussed at the meeting with Vucic.
The visit was canceled after northern Macedonia, Montenegro and Bulgaria closed airspace to the plane on which Lavrov would fly.
The decision is part of the sanctions that various states have taken to condemn the Russian occupation of Ukraine. Serbia has so far not imposed any sanctions on Russia or Russian leaders.
