England abolishes the mask obligation and the Green Pass
From 26 January, wearing a mask and a '' Green Pass '' will no longer be required in England.
The news was given by the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, who also added that the government will no longer advise citizens to work from home.
According to Johnson, scientists think the Omicron wave has peaked and the measures taken were meticulously followed by citizens.
In a press conference, Health Secretary Sajid Javid said: "This is a moment we can all be proud of. It is a reminder of what this country can achieve when we all work together."
Sajid warned that this is not the end of the pandemic, as the virus and future variants cannot be eradicated.
"We have to learn to live with COVID in the same way we live with the flu," said Sajid Javid.
