Kosovo Police has announced that today in the early hours of the morning there were two explosions in Sharpej of Jarinje.

The blasts targeted a police car. The suspicions are that pyrotechnic devices were thrown from the territory of Serbia. Thankfully there were no injuries or property damage.

"Looking at the scene, it was noticed that a piece of paper was left on the window of the police car (it is suspected that the pyrotechnic device wrapper). The incident took place in a part that is close to the territory of Serbia and the reasonable suspicion is that these vehicles were thrown from the territory of Serbia. Police have been monitoring an illegal road closed some time ago and which was used for smuggling goods. From this case, there are no injured persons or material damage. "The police are handling the case and will continue operational activities to prevent cross-border criminal acts in that area and provide security for all," the statement said.

This is the fifth case in the last four days.
