10-year-old Russian survives 18 hours in snowstorm embracing a stray dog
A 10-year-old girl spent about 18 hours in a severe snowstorm in Russia and temperatures -11 degrees Celsius, embracing a stray dog.
The girl named Vika Z lost her way as she was returning from school. The area was invaded by a snowstorm and temperatures dropped below 11 degrees below zero.
Media reports say police and area residents managed to find the girl after nearly 18 hours, as she hugged a stray dog under a low balcony.
"The girl loves animals very much. "After leaving school, she went to feed the stray dogs and then the snow left her trapped under a balcony, where she stayed for hours, surviving thanks to the warmth provided by the dog", said Olesya Voznyuk, from the group of investigators .
The girl was taken to hospital and fortunately had no health problems.
