"Civic Resistance" protest in front of the Ministry of Education for lack of heating in schools: This is not a well managed situation
Today, on the International Education Day, "Civic Resistance" protested in front of the Ministry of Education with some heaters in hand for the lack of heating in schools.
The Minister of Education recently announced the suspension of classes for three days, from Monday to Wednesday, as temperatures reach -17 degrees Celsius.
"We are here to address the problems of teachers, the community that has been taken hostage, is burdened with all the difficulties. This profession has physical costs. Our teachers today have no support for COVID, have extra hours, work shifts. You have seen that no teacher can say I have a cold. The resistance team has received notifications from many teachers. We have a responsibility to help this large community which, due to all the pressures, finds it difficult to complain.
In all this situation where our country is, there is a minister to manage the funds. The law provides infrastructure to the citizens, but it is maintained by the ministry. We are today to bring this ministry some modest heaters.
This is not a well managed situation. We call on parents and teachers to put pressure on this institution ", said Migen Qiraxhi, representative of this resistance.
