Luigi Mangione, a 26-year-old man, has been charged with the shooting death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York City.
Luigi Mangione was arrested at a McDonald's in Altoona, Pennsylvania, after a customer at the fast food outlet recognized him.
The perpetrator had a gun, silencer, multiple fake IDs, and was an Ivy League graduate.
New York investigators charged Mangione with murder and four other charges, including firearms charges.
Thompson, 50, was fatally shot in the back last Wednesday morning outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.
It is learned that the suspect worked alone and that he had not been arrested anywhere in America to date.
