Kosovo and Serbia resolve the conflict before the EU takes strong measures

Prime Minister Edi Rama calls on Kosovo and Serbia to resolve the conflict between them and implement the EU's demands, before Brussels takes drastic measures against them.

In a reaction on Twitter, Rama writes that it is absurd the fact that in the north of Kosovo the police are guarding empty buildings, while on the other side of the border Serbia has deployed the army.

"The EU could not be more clear. The continuation of this absurdity without a plan by deploying the police to guard the empty buildings where the elected presidents cannot enter and on the other hand deploying the army on the border of another country cannot be less European and more self-inflicted of the situation.

I really hope that our fraternal Kosovo and friendly Serbia resolve the conflict before the EU takes strong measures against them. They must act quickly and must understand that fulfilling the EU's requirements means returning to normality as a European state", Rama wrote on social networks, sharing the request of the EU's high representative Josep Borrell, who calls for elections new as before in the 4 municipalities in the north of Kosovo.
