Another wave of rising prices of consumer products

Another wave of price increases is expected for consumers, who have faced these months with the highest level of inflation, which was not seen for 20 years.

The warning comes from the Bank of Albania, which, - from 6.2%, which calculated inflation in April in the last report, - has increased the inflation rate forecast for the coming months to 7.3%.

The ones that weigh the most on rising cost of living and purchasing power are food prices, which are expected to set further records in the coming months.

The Bank of Albania analyzes that everything has come as a result of the impact of the pandemic on the chains of distribution of goods and recently from the consequences of the war in Ukraine, factors that have increased uncertainties in the respective markets.

In Albania, during April, inflation marked a level of 6.2% directly affected by food and fuels, the highest level in 20 years.

Oil and cereals have become more expensive.
