The European Commission and the RCC led by Secretary General Majlinda Bregu have reached an agreement with mobile phone operators in Europe and the Balkans to sign the declaration of agreement for the launch of the EU-Western Balkans Roaming price reduction within 2023.

This agreement is expected to be signed at the Tirana Summit that will be held on December 6 in Tirana.

At the Berlin Process Summit at the beginning of November, the leaders of the Western Balkans, within the framework of the Common Regional Market Action Plan (CRM), signed three important agreements (for Freedom of Movement with Identification Card, for Recognition of Education Qualifications of Higher Education and for the Recognition of Professional Qualifications for Doctors of Medicine, Dentists and Architects), coordinated and mediated by the RCC.

Now, the agreements will enter the ratification procedure at the national level, according to the requirements provided by the relevant legislation of each of the Parties.

Since the entry into force of the Regional Roaming Agreement in the Western Balkans, roaming with 0 charges, "Talk at home" since July 2021, RCC has worked in close cooperation with the European Commission, the European Union and the operators of the Balkans Western, as well as the authorities in the region, for the reduction of roaming also between EU countries and the Western Balkans.

According to statistics from the draft roaming data traffic report, the number of roaming users in the region has increased by 100%. At the same time, the volume of data traffic increased by 459%.
