A video of French President Emmanuel Macron removing his expensive watch during a TV show has sparked a lot of reactions on social media.
The President's interview was met with accusations, moreover, after protests erupted in France against raising the retirement age by two years.
But the anger flared up even more because the watch Macron was wearing is thought to be worth a whopping 80,000 euros.
His act of removing his watch while his hands were under the table during the interview further proved their accusations of supporting the rich.
However, representatives of the Elysee Palace said that the president removed the watch because it was causing him discomfort and making noise while moving his hands.
