Britain could become part of Macron's European Political Community
The United Kingdom, which left the European Union at the end of 2020, is evaluating the possibility of becoming part of the European Political Community, - Emmanuel Macron's project.
The first meeting of the European Political Community is expected to be held on October 6 in Prague, Czech Republic. The idea of ??creating this community was presented by the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, in May, who said that it would be "a new space" for cooperation.
The British government, as the BBC reports, wants more details about the summit, before Prime Minister Liz Truss decides whether to attend the meeting in Prague.
Macron suggested that this group could discuss security, energy, transport, but also the free movement of people.
The European Political Community aims to be a forum that goes beyond the 27 member states of the European Union.
The six countries of the Western Balkans are expected to be invited to participate in this community, but also all EU countries as well as the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Norway, Switzerland and Turkey.
