The author's publisher, Ismail Kadare, has given an interview where he recounts the last days of the writer.
"I think he left happy, even though this word doesn't fit his literature...
He was physically weak, he wanted to go out, he went out with difficulty. He went out to his favorite cafe with his friends. He was in Tirana and his most beautiful hours were in the cafe talking and meeting people", said Bujar Hudhri.
Hudhri also added that the tributes to Kadare have been taken over by the Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama.
