The Folkloric Festival of Gjirokastra returns after 8 years

Gjirokastra, a museum of centuries-old traditions and culture, welcomes this year the return of the National Folk Festival in the Stone Castle with the songs and dances of all the provinces of Albania.
The Minister of Culture Elva Margariti said in a post on Facebook that the traditional folk music festival returns after 8 years.
"The great table of our intangible heritage awaits you from June 24 to July 1. The National Folk Festival of Gjirokastra, the largest comprehensive cultural event returns after 8 years," she writes.
The National Festival of Gjirokastra, which has been held every five years, returns after the impossibility of holding it in 2020 where, due to the global pandemic, all cultural and artistic activities were interrupted.
