Everything is ready to host in Tirana the twentieth edition of the "Marie Kraja" International Opera Vocal Festival, which will take place in Tirana on March 28-29.
Sixteen competitors from all over the world will compete to receive the award named after the founder of the Albanian opera "Marie Kraja". In its twentieth edition, the "Marie Kraja" festival has become sought after by young artists from all over the world, ranking among the most preferred festivals in terms of the level of organization, accompanied by the Albanian Radio Television orchestra and a broadcast live on Top Channel National Television.
On the first night, March 27, without the presence of the public, the singers will compete only in front of the jury, where they will be technically evaluated in the right calm. While the other two nights will be built in the form of the spectacle, which thanks to the cooperation with Top Channel, during both nights will be able to be enjoyed by everyone, directed by Redi Treni. The conductor of the orchestra and also the Artistic Director of the Festival comes from England and for this year as well is the well-known Martin Andre, already one of the basic names of the festival. To present the Festival, the well-known Albanian soprano Enkeleda Kamani returns once again, who has this Festival as her lucky ticket, where after the victory in 2015, the doors of the big European stages were opened to her. Now she returns not only as a presenter, but also to sing. Like last year, he will be accompanied in the presentation by the well-known journalist and moderator Blendi Salaj, while Vikena Kamenica, in addition to being a member of the jury, will join Blendi to comment on the performances of the finalists.
The lyrical singers will compete in two disciplines: the aria competition and the song competition. Lyrical songs, the most popular and beloved of the world and Albanian repertoire will come in the form of duets. The first night they will perform duets with each other, while in the final they will sing with well-known artists of Albanian light music. Well-known names such as Eneda Tarifa, Elhaida Dani, Kamela Islamaj, Venera Lumani, Lind Islami, Era Rusi, Kejsi Tola and Enxhi Nasufi will sing alongside the operatic singers in the competition, and without a doubt this is one of the parts that is eagerly awaited by the public of this festival.
In addition to its main mission, the competition and the promotion of new talents, the "Marie Kraja" festival is also two concert nights to be enjoyed in the hall of the Opera and Ballet Theatre.
