Baby Shark 'becomes the first YouTube video to reach 10 billion views
"Baby Shark", the song much loved by children has reached a new milestone, 10 billion views on YouTube.
YouTube confirms that not only is it the most watched video on the platform, a record it set in November 2020, but it is now the only video to reach 10 billion views.
The most-watched YouTube video depicts two real children demonstrating "little shark jumping" while the animated shark and his family, including a "grandfather shark" with a mustache, swim quietly and later try to shoot the children. They fail, however, and the children celebrate their safety while the sharks watch from afar.
The song's success was coincidental: In 2019, Pinkfong CEO in the US Bin Jeong said the company had not expected the clip to have such success.
To celebrate the great achievement, Pinkfong invited kids around the world to share "Their Shark Dancing Moments" with the company.
