Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky will meet this Friday, September 27, in New York, at Trump Tower.
"President Zelensky has asked to meet with me and we will meet. It is a shame what is happening in Ukraine. So much death, so much destruction. It's a terrible thing. I believe I will be able to make a deal between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Zelensky, soon," Trump told reporters in New York.
However, he did not give any more details.
Zelensky also met with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris earlier, who also talked about a diplomatic plan to end the war.
