A person was injured by gunfire today in the Municipality of Paris, in the capital.
It is learned that Lorenc Kosta, about 45 years old, was shot by Erion Goxhara, a police officer in the Shqiponja forces.
Kosta, who received a bullet in his leg, was urgently sent to the Trauma Hospital, while it is learned that his health condition is stable.
The Tirana Police has reacted to the wounding of the 45-year-old, informing that the suspected perpetrator, citizen Erion Goxhara, is a police officer and that the work to locate and capture him is ongoing.
"On 19.08.2024, at around 2:07 p.m., near a market at the Paris Commune roundabout, it is suspected that for weak motives, the citizen EG, (Police employee) wounded the citizen LK, 45 years old, with a firearm. who is in the hospital, under the care of doctors.
The investigative group is at the scene and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office is working to catch the suspected perpetrator and clarify the circumstances of the incident," the police announcement states.
