Students protest in front of the Ministry of Education: To enter the auditorium

Some students in Tirana have gathered this morning in front of the Ministry of Education. They request to be allowed to enter the auditorium, without a vaccination certificate and without a negative buffer.

The claim is that the tampon costs money, and they do not want to get the vaccine. According to them, students should not be divided into vaccinated and unvaccinated. What they demand is to be left to them if they want to be vaccinated against Covid and not to be a condition for physical attendance of the subjects.

At the Faculty of Philology, students clashed with police at the door asking for a certificate or tampon to enter the school premises.

In the districts, the situation was as follows:

There are about 20 thousand students in Durrës, of which over 50% have been vaccinated. Only vaccinated students are allowed to enter the auditorium.

In Korça, a small part of 3500 students have been vaccinated. 37 students showed up to receive the first dose, during the week that vaccination was available October 11-17. Today they are presented at the doors of the university without a buffer, they will continue to wait for how it will proceed.

In Gjirokastra all students are allowed to enter the auditorium. Today it will be decided how to proceed.

In Elbasan, all students are also allowed to enter the school premises on the first day.

In Shkodra only 30% of students have been vaccinated at least once. Today they will not be allowed to enter without a test, or vaccine. Next it will be decided how it will be done.

In Vlora, no unvaccinated students, or without a negative buffer, are allowed to enter the university premises.
