The latest situation of flooding and snow problems on the roads

The situation with floods and snowfall in our country continues to be problematic, especially in the districts of Lezhë and Shkodër.
In an update of the last few hours, the Ministry of Defense announced that in Shkodër the lands on the Mountain side and in Dajç are still flooded, while in Lezhë a withdrawal of water has started.
Problems are also reported on some national road axes, where the authorities appeal to avoid traveling in areas with high snow thickness, as well as to respect the rules for vehicles and not to drive with summer tires without chains.
The problem with floods
In the district of Shkodra, the flooded area is 1220 ha, where 1200 ha are in the Ana e Mali Administrative Unit and 20 ha in the Dajç Administrative Unit.
In the district of Lezha, the water has begun to recede from the flooded areas, bringing the flooded area to 530 ha from the 770 ha that was yesterday, in the former Gjonem swamp 200 ha, in the Balldren Administrative Unit 180 ha and in the Zejmen Unit 150 ha.
Road infrastructure
There is snow presence in most of them, but the contractor companies are working on cleaning and salting in order to continue normal road traffic.
The Bogë-Theth axis continues to be blocked by snow avalanches, where intervention is impossible.
Oboti road continues with the presence of water even today with a level of 60 cm, but army vehicles are helping to transport people.
On Arbri Street, which yesterday was blocked due to non-stop snowfall, traffic continues normally today.
There have also been falls of inerts and stones on national and rural roads for which local structures and contracting firms have intervened to clean them up.
Damaged bridges
The bridges in Bardhaj village of Shkodër Municipality, the Gjinajve bridge in Vig-Mnele of Vau i Dejës Municipality, the bridge connecting the village of Kolsh and the Malësia neighborhood in Lezhë Municipality and the bridge in the place called Kodër Mulliri in this municipality were damaged.
