Through a ceremony at the stand that synchronizes the Albanian hospitality offer in every element, our country began today the presentation of tourism experiences, at the grand opening of the Fitur 2025 International Tourism Fair in Madrid.

Minister Mirela Kumbaro, together with representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the National Tourism Agency, Air Albania, the Albanian Agrotourism Association, tour operators and representatives of the public and private sectors participating in this fair, welcomed the opening of "Fitur 2025" by highlighting the consolidated offer of the Spanish market in terms of visitors and investments, as well as the strong recovery of visitors from Latin American markets.

"We are back at Fitur, with an even more beautiful, even fresher stand, "Albania All Senses", with many partners, the Albanian Association of Agrotourism and our permanent partners "Giz" who accompany us this time with Albanian flavors and with a new partner, "Air Albania" which is now an Albanian brand that takes us through the skies. It is very important for us to be present at the Madrid fair, the first to open the series of fairs, taking into account the increase in visitors from Spain, by 26% more compared to last year. 110 thousand Spaniards visited Albania in 2024, as well as tens of thousands of other visitors from Latin America, thanks to the participation in this fair with many other private tour operators, have frequented Albania, expanding the tourist map. It is expected that the year 2025, which we have just entered, will be even more prosperous, reservations have already started earlier than any other year. "We will then continue with another major event such as the ITB Berlin fair where Albania will be the place of honor. Welcome everyone to Albania," said Minister Kumbaro.

During the 5 days of the Fitur fair, the Albanian stand will turn into a center of activities, part of the agenda organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, conceived as a mix of experiences that present Albania as the most exciting destination in Europe: from experiences through virtual exploration of the country, to "Albanian Nights" inspired by the rich heritage of cultural traditions and community life, to tasting experiences offered by the Albanian Agrotourism Association.

Earlier, Minister Kumbaro had meetings with the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Zurab Pololikashvili, the Spanish Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, as well as the Secretary of State for Tourism of Spain, Rosario Sánchez Grau, where agreements were discussed that advance cooperation between the two countries in innovation, digitalization, and human capacities.
