How many citizens have taken the two doses of anti-Covid vaccine in Albania so far?
192 thousand citizens have received two doses of anti-Covid vaccine in Albania. In a post on social networks, the Minister of Health Ogerta Manastirliu publishes the numbers of people who have been vaccinated in total, ie those who have received a dose: Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign in Albania, 638 thousand 338 vaccinations have been performed.
Meanwhile, within this month, the age band for vaccination will decrease. The Albanian government and the Ministry of Health are negotiating for another amount of anti-Covid vaccines which are expected to increase the pace of the process and to reduce the age band, under 60 years old.
It is learned that in parallel with the reduction of the age band, employees of critical services will also be vaccinated. With the vaccination of tailor workers, it is expected that within this month the vaccination will start for the employees who have more contacts with people, and in the field as OSHEE and public transport employees.
So far, according to ministry figures, about 760,000 doses of vaccines have arrived from Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Sinovac and Sputnik V.
Meanwhile, the vaccination process is ongoing for persons over 60 years of age, the chronically ill, tour operators and tailors.
