Rama: We are on Israel's side, but we are also very worried about the civilians in Gaza

Prime Minister Rama has once again strengthened Albania's position towards the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Rama writes in X that he stands by Israel, but is still concerned about the suffering of civilians in Gaza.
The Albanian Prime Minister announces at the same time that he will be part of the Peace Conference in Paris where they will talk about finding ways to end this conflict.
"While we stand firmly on Israel's side against Hamas, we are also deeply concerned about the civilian suffering and destruction in Gaza. It is essential to end this conflict before it escalates further and gets out of control. Albania supports President Biden's call for a humanitarian ceasefire between hostilities. In exchange for an immediate ceasefire, the Arab League and Turkey must ensure the unconditional and safe release of all hostages held by Hamas. After the horrific crimes committed on October 7, there can be no political future for Hamas. Under a UN mandate, an international force led by the Arab League could temporarily take control of Gaza, facilitating a transition of governing responsibilities from Hamas to the Palestinian Authority. "Soon I will join other world leaders at the Peace Forum in Paris, where we will discuss ways to restore peace in the Middle East," writes Rama.
