The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin has congratulated the elected President of Albania, Bajram Begaj for the new task.

The news was given by the Russian Embassy in Tirana where it writes:

"The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, conveyed congratulations to Mr. Bajram Begaj for his election as President of the Republic of Albania and wished him health and success in his highest state office."

Begaj was voted in Parliament with 78 votes and from July 24, he will succeed Ilir Meta, whose mandate ends.
