DP submits constitutional amendments to the Assembly. He calls the July 30 changes one-sided
In a press conference, the leader of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, stated that they have submitted the constitutional amendments to the Assembly. Basha clarifies once again that the amendments seek to annul the constitutional changes made on July 30, which according to him are unilateral.
"A few minutes ago, the DP submitted to the Assembly constitutional amendments regarding three absolute priorities to get Albanians out of depression, crisis, product of misgovernance. As I have informed you, these three main issues in our amendments have to do with electoral reform, including all its aspects, including the patronage who is in trouble, along with their leader; to organize through free and fair elections the first step for Albania out of the crisis, which is the return of Albania to the rails.
Leaving power is not a drama. The constitutional amendments concern the reversal of the unilateral changes of July 30, passed without the will of the opposition, and the filing of a request for the election commission to start work as soon as possible, in order for the electoral reform with all its components to start an hour ago ", said Basha.
